Community Guidelines

Community Guidelines

www.RiteGiving.com

Driven by Kindness, United by Purpose.

Effective Date: June 1, 2026

Applies To

All users — campaign creators, donors, volunteers, event organizers, and attendees

1. Our Community Mission

RiteGiving exists to connect generous people with meaningful causes. We believe everyone deserves a safe, honest, and respectful space to give, fundraise, volunteer, and come together around shared goals — whether that is funding a life-changing medical treatment, organizing a community event, or lending a helping hand as a volunteer.

These Community Guidelines define the standards of behavior that make RiteGiving a trusted and welcoming platform for everyone. They apply to every person who uses RiteGiving in any capacity — campaign creators, donors, volunteers, event organizers, and attendees — across all parts of the platform, including campaigns, comments, messages, event listings, and volunteer profiles.

These Guidelines work alongside our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, which together form the full framework of rules governing your use of RiteGiving. Violation of these Guidelines may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent banning from the platform.

2. Our Core Community Values

Everything we do on RiteGiving is guided by five core values:

Honesty

Every campaign, profile, and interaction should be truthful. We do not tolerate fraud, misrepresentation, or deception in any form.

Respect

Every person deserves to be treated with dignity. We do not tolerate harassment, hate speech, bullying, or discrimination of any kind.

Generosity

RiteGiving is built on the spirit of giving. We celebrate open-handedness and protect donors, volunteers, and supporters from exploitation.

Safety

We are committed to keeping our community free from harm — physically, emotionally, and financially. We take safety reports seriously.

Accountability

Campaign creators, event organizers, and volunteers are responsible for following through on their commitments to the community.

12. Child Safety

The safety of children is our highest priority. RiteGiving maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for any content, behavior, or campaign that endangers, exploits, or sexualizes minors.

  • Any content that sexually exploits minors will be removed immediately and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement agencies

  • Adults who use RiteGiving to engage in inappropriate contact with minors will be permanently banned and reported to authorities

  • If you believe a child is in danger based on activity on RiteGiving, contact us immediately at safety@RiteGiving.com and contact local law enforcement

13. Misinformation & Misleading Content

Trust is the foundation of every donation made on RiteGiving. We take a strong stance against misinformation that could harm donors or the public.

  • Campaign creators must not make factually false claims about the cause, beneficiary, or fund usage

  • Health-related campaigns must not promote unproven treatments or make medical claims that could endanger donors or beneficiaries

  • Campaigns must not falsely claim endorsement, partnership, or affiliation with recognized charities, celebrities, or public figures without their documented consent

  • Statistical claims (e.g., funds raised, people helped) must be accurate and verifiable

  • Misleading thumbnails, titles, or descriptions designed to manipulate donors are prohibited

RiteGiving may add a notice to campaigns that contain content we believe may be misleading, and may require corrective updates before funds are released.

  • Notify you of the outcome where permitted by our policies

RiteGiving does not tolerate false or malicious reports made to harm legitimate users. Abuse of the reporting system may result in the reporter's account being restricted.

15. Enforcement Actions

Fund Withholding ------------------ Funds may be withheld pending investigation of fraud, disputes, or legal proceedings.

Account Suspension -------------- Repeated violations or serious single violations result in temporary suspension of account access.

Permanent Ban --------------- Severe violations (fraud, CSAM, terrorism, repeat offenders) result in permanent removal from the platform.

Law Enforcement Referral ---------------- Illegal activity, especially child exploitation or financial fraud, is reported to relevant authorities.

16. Appeals Process

We strive to make fair enforcement decisions, but we recognize that mistakes can happen. If you believe an enforcement action taken against your account or content was applied in error, you have the right to appeal.

  • Submit your appeal within 30 days of receiving notice of the enforcement action

  • Email appeals@RiteGiving.com with the subject line: 'Appeal — [Your Username] — [Brief Description]'

  • Include your account details, a description of the enforcement action, and your reasons for believing it was applied incorrectly
