RiteGiving Community Guidelines

At RiteGiving, our goal is to create a safe, honest, and inspiring community where anyone can share causes, support others, and make a positive impact. These Community Guidelines outline the standards of behavior expected from everyone using the Platform, including Campaign Owners, Donors, and Visitors.
By using RiteGiving.com, you agree to follow these guidelines in addition to our [Terms and Conditions] and [Privacy Policy].
1. Our Core Principles
Every action on RiteGiving should reflect these core values:
Integrity: Be truthful and transparent in everything you post or fund.
Respect: Treat others with kindness, even if you disagree.
Accountability: Use funds responsibly and report accurately.
Safety: Protect yourself and others from harm or exploitation.
Community: Build trust and support through honest engagement.
2. Campaign Standards
We welcome a wide range of campaigns — from personal needs to creative projects and community development — but all must comply with these rules:
2.1 Allowed Campaign Types
Personal or family needs (medical, education, emergencies).
Community and charity projects.
Creative or entrepreneurial ventures.
Social impact initiatives or faith-based missions.
2.2 Prohibited Campaigns
Campaigns that promote, support, or involve any of the following are strictly forbidden:
Illegal or fraudulent activity, including money laundering, scams, or deceptive claims.
Hate speech or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, or nationality.
Violence, terrorism, or weapons manufacturing and promotion.
Pornography, adult content, or sexual services.
Drugs or controlled substances, including paraphernalia.
Gambling or lotteries.
Political campaigning or partisan fundraising.
Get-rich-quick schemes or pyramid programs.
False emergencies or misleading medical appeals.
Campaigns impersonating another person or organization.
Violations may result in immediate removal of the campaign and possible legal action.
3. Honesty and Transparency
We require truthfulness from all users.
Campaign Owners Must:
Use accurate information, images, and stories.
Clearly describe how funds will be used.
Provide truthful updates about progress or changes.
Avoid false promises, exaggerated claims, or emotional manipulation.
Use funds only for the purpose stated in the campaign.
Misrepresentation or misuse of funds can lead to refund claims, account suspension, or reporting to legal authorities.
4. Donor and Supporter Conduct
RiteGiving is built on community support and goodwill. As a donor or supporter, you agree to:
Donate voluntarily and responsibly.
Refrain from harassing campaign owners or other users.
Avoid posting offensive, abusive, or inflammatory comments.
Report suspicious or fraudulent campaigns immediately.
Keep discussions constructive and respectful.
5. Communication Guidelines
Our platform allows comments, messages, and updates. Please ensure that all communication is:

 ✅ Non-spammy and appropriate
Do not:
Post repetitive or promotional messages (spam).
Use obscene, vulgar, or threatening language.
Share personal contact details publicly (for privacy and safety).
RiteGiving reserves the right to edit or remove any comments or content that violate these standards.
6. Use of Images, Videos, and Content
All images, videos, and written content uploaded to RiteGiving must:
Be owned by you or used with permission.
Accurately represent your campaign or purpose.
Avoid graphic, violent, or disturbing imagery.
Exclude nudity, hate symbols, or copyrighted material without consent.
We may remove content that breaches intellectual property rights or violates these guidelines.
7. Privacy and Data Respect
Do not share another person’s private or sensitive information without their explicit consent.
 Examples include:
Full names, home addresses, phone numbers, or financial data.
Photos or stories of others without permission.
Always respect the privacy and dignity of others, especially when fundraising on behalf of someone else.
8. Fraud Prevention and Reporting
We take fraud and misuse seriously.
 If you believe a campaign is deceptive or misusing funds:
Click the “Report Campaign” button on the campaign page, or
Email fraud@ritegiving.com with full details.
Our team will investigate each report promptly and take appropriate action, including pausing campaigns or contacting authorities if necessary.
9. Safety and Legal Compliance
All users must comply with:
Applicable local and international laws.
Financial and anti-fraud regulations.
Tax reporting obligations (for campaign owners).
RiteGiving may request identity verification or documentation for transparency and to prevent illegal use of the platform.
10. Moderation and Enforcement
RiteGiving reserves the right to:
Remove campaigns or comments violating these rules.
Suspend or permanently ban accounts involved in misconduct.
Withhold or refund donations when fraud is confirmed.
Cooperate with law enforcement or legal requests.
Decisions made by the RiteGiving moderation team are final to protect the integrity of the platform.
11. Appeals
If your campaign or comment is removed and you believe it was a mistake, you can appeal by emailing appeals@ritegiving.com with your account details and an explanation.
 Our support team will review and respond within 7–14 business days.
12. Promoting a Positive Community
We encourage users to:
Share uplifting stories and updates.
Support others with encouragement and respect.
Engage in honest, transparent conversations.
Use campaigns responsibly to inspire real impact.

13. Changes to These Guidelines
We may revise these guidelines as our platform grows. Updates will be posted on our website with the “Last Updated” date above.
 Continued use of RiteGiving after changes means you accept the updated rules.
